Hello Everyone,
I would like to expand my networking circle.  Here is the letter I will be sending out to my family and friends.  I am hopeful I will be able to generate some job leads and find employment.  I welcome your input.

Dear Friends and Family,

I hope you had a great labor Day!!!  What a most appropriate time to send this letter. 

As most of you know, I am looking for a job in the Tallahassee, Florida area.  However, I am also open to possibilities in other locations as well.  

I am writing you this note in the hopes that you could extend my job search network to your friends and colleagues in the workplace.   I have also attached my resume for your reference.   Please don’t hesitate to pass my resume along or share this information freely.  

Below is a description of what would best align with my interests, skills and expertise:

My Interests:

·         Project management/coordination in an educational, technical or construction industry.

·         Event planning and/or fund raising with a non-profit organization or company

·         Entry level computer technician or IT position

Background:

·         Project Coordination – 3 + years experience facilitating the coordination of multiple organizations, businesses and personnel to meet project goals, budgets and deadlines.  

·         Special Event Coordination – 8 + years experience planning and implementing special events and coordinating volunteers and sponsors for a non-profit organization in order to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of South Florida, local charities, and college scholarships.

·         Sales – 5+ years experience as a small business owner as a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant.

·         Office Management and Executive Assistant – 8 + years supporting owners and managers facilitating the smooth operation of day to day activities and goals and to provide assistance in the expansion and growth of an organization.

·         Computer Technician – 1 year experience supporting end users troubleshooting hardware, software and peripheral equipment problems. 

Proficiencies:

·         Ability to develop print materials to promote an event or organization.

·         Experience working with submittals and guidelines to ensure compliance with project specifications and budget.

·         Excellent verbal and communication skills.

·         Experience working in an educational environment - Instructional Aide with the Leon County Elementary school system for 1 1/2 years during college.

·         Familiar with Social Media Marketing.

·         Computer Software: Windows XP, Vista, 7, Microsoft Office 1997-2007, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, FileZilla, Anti-Virus software - Norton, MacAfee, AVG.  Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver. (Aptitude and ability for learning new computer systems and software quickly and easily)

Hello!  I just wanted to update everyone on my most current situation.  I have been taking a web design course at Lively Technical Center and my classes will be ending May 29th.  I have learned quit a bit and would love to implement what I have learned in an employment capacity. 

I have learned HTML, CSS, Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Flash.  And I will be continuing my education with Java and PHP. 

I have also created a website for a paying client already and it was such a great learning ...

Michelle Henderson I am a fun loving individual with a big heart who cares and has a passion to help people in need. I went to Florida State University and obtained my Bachelor in Science degree in Sociology. I would love to find a position that utilizes my creativeness and allows me to run my own projects. I am also an accomplished project and event coordinator that would like to use these skills in the non-profit, educational and/or social arena. I have excellent organizational skills. I am an exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
